Refund policy

At Creative Plastering & Building Supplies, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you’re not happy, we offer a straightforward returns policy in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

1. Consumer Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a remedy (repair, replacement, or refund) if a product is:

  • Faulty or defective.

  • Not as described or doesn’t match the sample.

  • Unsafe or unfit for its purpose.

If the item has a major problem, you are entitled to choose a remedy (refund, replacement, or repair). If the item has a minor problem, we may offer to repair the product or replace it.

2. Returns Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • The product must be in its original condition, unused, and with all original packaging and labels intact.

  • You must provide proof of purchase (e.g., receipt or invoice).

  • The return must be made within 14 days of purchase (unless the item is faulty or damaged).

  • Products that are considered "change of mind" purchases are generally not eligible for a return unless specified.

3. Faulty or Defective Products
If the product is faulty, defective, or doesn’t match the description, you are entitled to:

  • A repair, if the issue can be fixed.

  • A replacement, if the product cannot be repaired.

  • A refund, if the product cannot be repaired or replaced, or the issue persists after a repair.

4. Change of Mind
If you change your mind about a purchase, we may accept returns on certain items within 14 days, provided:

  • The product is unused, unopened, and in its original condition.

  • You provide proof of purchase.

  • You cover any return shipping costs.

Please note that we are not required to provide a refund or exchange for change of mind purchases, as per Australian Consumer Law.

5. Non-Returnable Items
For health and safety reasons, some items may not be eligible for returns, including:

  • Products that have been opened or used (unless faulty).

  • Special order or custom-made items.

  • Perishable items or items with expiry dates.

  • Sale, clearance or discontinued items.

6. Return Process
To return an item, please follow these steps:

  • Contact our customer service team at admin@creativeplasterers.com.au with your order details and reason for return.

  • We will guide you through the return process, and if the item needs to be returned to our store or warehouse, we will provide instructions. Please note that a restocking fee may apply for building supply returns.

  • Once we receive the returned product, we will inspect it and notify you of the outcome.

7. Refunds
Once the returned item has been processed, refunds will be issued using the same payment method as the original purchase. Please note that refunds for returns due to "change of mind" may incur a restocking fee (if applicable).

8. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs for returning products are the responsibility of the customer unless the product is faulty or defective, in which case we will cover return shipping costs.
